It’s officially the holiday season, and I couldn’t be happier!

With 2016 right around the corner, I’m feeling nostalgic about 2015 – the year that will forever be the year that everything changed for me.

In the past 11 months alone, I’ve…

Sold out my one on one program and supported women in living their own big dreams

Launched four live group programs for nearly 200 women around the world

Hosted three events at The Ritz London

Created my first video series

Created and sold my first infoproduct to over 400 incredible clients

Combined forces with my husband James who was able to leave his design job of 12 years and follow his own dream of being a coach

Moved into our dream flat in London

Traveled the world – to Sydney, Australia, Bali, Indonesia, Italy, France, California to name a few

Made over $830k in sales!

And it’s not over yet!

2015 was a dream come true in so many ways for me, but as you can imagine (and maybe even relate), it also stretched me in every way possible.

The other day, I saw a disheveled (yet still gorgeous) photo of the actress and new mom Olivia Wilde and the caption caught my attention. It said, “’I call this hairstyle, ‘keep the kid alive’”.

Although I don’t have kids, I can completely relate to that feeling.

I Heart My Life has been my baby and has taken all of my time, energy, efforts, and willpower to keep it alive and gaining momentum every day – but I’ve loved it, and it’s a part of me.

I often talk to my clients about the fact that building a business is like birthing a new life (a phrase I was taught by my own mentor) – maybe you can relate as a mom or business owner (or both!).

And it’s so true – following your dreams isn’t always easy and does require pushing, energy, and can be a rollercoaster ride of hormones and emotions at times.

But, I’m sure just like every mother knows, it’s all worth it in the end.

In my experience, after the first year of business (maybe similar to the first year of having a child), you look back and you don’t necessarily know how you made it happen, you don’t know where all of that energy came from, and you really don’t want to go back and do it all again, but you feel really proud that that what you’ve worked for is still alive – and not just alive, but thriving. You made a difference. You did something big.

That’s how I feel today.

So if you’re at the beginning stages of building your own dream, lovely, just know that you have what it takes.

You can do anything you put your mind to.

You don’t have to have everything figured out this second – just take the first steps and do what it takes to get this thing off the ground and keep it alive.

Also know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just one season. It’s just one point in your life and business, and it’s not always going to be that way.

Once you get the momentum going, I promise everything gets easier.

Although your dreams don’t necessarily get smaller, you’ll have more time, resources, and exposure to make them happen.

So if you’re at a crossroads today and wondering whether you can really do this or keep moving in the direction of your dreams, know that you can.

If I can do it, you can too.
